Kosher K-Cups in Jeopardy

Chasidic Jew Pursues Kosher Coffee Survival

TheChosenBean.com announced it will be releasing K-cups for their Moses Roast and Abraham’s Morning Roast coffees in January 2015. Until then, the company will offer free reusable k-cups that can be used with its kosher gourmet coffees.

This comes after koshertoday.com announced “certified kosher K-Cups used in the machines no longer have the OU symbol on the individual cups although they remain on the boxes that they come in”. Although this change does not effectively render the k-cups non-kosher, it has made it difficult for kosher consumers to differentiate between kosher & non-kosher k-cups.

Moshe Ruza, a Chasidic Jew and founder of The Chosen Bean, wants to ensure kosher consumers never have to worry about kosher coffee.

Moshe has always had a passion for a good cup of joe. This passion sent him on a java driven journey starting in New York. Moshe searched high and low to find beans that would satisfy him. His wandering came to a halt, when Moshe discovered the perfect coffee roast and launched TheChosenBean.com

TheChosenBean.com is a fully kosher coffee roaster, producing fresh, artisan, and gourmet coffees. The coffee is made to order and micro roasted, extracting the finest taste and aroma from the coffee beans. Using only the finest Arabica coffee, TheChosenBean.com sources their beans from small farms in regions across the globe, such as Costa Rica, Kenya & Sumatra.
