- Swiss Water® decaffeination: Uses water, green coffee extract and carbon filtration rather than methylene chloride or ethyl acetate.
- 99.9% caffeine-free: Swiss Water’s stated process target, with a small amount of caffeine remaining.
- Roasted to order: Freshly roasted by The Chosen Bean in South Florida.
- Flexible brewing: Brew with your preferred method and the appropriate grind.
What Is the Swiss Water® Process?
The Swiss Water Process removes caffeine from green coffee before roasting. It uses water and green coffee extract, along with carbon filtration, to separate caffeine while helping retain the coffee’s flavor compounds. No methylene chloride or ethyl acetate is used in the decaffeination process.
If you are looking for Swiss Water decaf coffee from Peru or a decaf made without those decaffeination solvents, this is a straightforward choice: Peruvian coffee, Swiss Water processing and roasting by The Chosen Bean.

How to Brew Your Peru Decaf
For drip coffee or pour-over, start with 1 gram of coffee for every 16 grams of water—about 20 grams of coffee to 320 grams of water. Adjust the ratio to suit your taste. Use a medium grind for drip, a coarser grind for French press and a fine grind for espresso.
For iced decaf, brew a little stronger and pour over ice. Store your coffee sealed in a cool, dry place away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight.
