Cultivated at an altitude of between 4,250 and 5,575 feet, the Marcala Fair Trade Coffee from Fresh Roasted Coffee is a medium roast with a bold body. COFFEE FACT

Due to its temperate and tropical climates, Honduras produces coffees typically described as mild, robust, and sweet.  Grown at altitudes of between 3,600 and 5,249 feet above sea level, Honduran coffee beans can be classified by the size and region in which they were produced.

Additionally, each of Honduras’s six coffee-growing regions is home to at least two or three of the five wide arabica varieties:

  • Bourbon
  • Caturra
  • Typica
  • Catuai
  • Pacas

Also, depending on the region’s unique climate and elevation, each region’s coffee will have its signature flavor profile.

    Honduras honey

Posted by Christopher on 12th Mar 2018

I've got to say that buying this coffee without ever trying it was a huge leap of faith. I had such high hopes that the coffee was as good as people say. I was not disappointed! The coffee and flavor are very complex. Beautiful flavor, I want to keep drinking it! This is my new "go to" for coffee. Highly recommended!!

My New Favorite from Chosen Bean

Posted by Jeff M. on 30th Sep 2016

This coffee is literally "me" in a mug. The flavor profile of the honey is wonderfully, yet boldly subtle; just enough to breakdown the typical acidity you might find in other flavors. Such a beautiful aroma to complement a rising sun on a gorgeous Sunday morning. This is the type of coffee that reminded me why I but from Chosen Bean.

I always enjoyed Honduras. A pleasant alternative to Costa Rican (still my fave). Would highly recommend it.
